  LEGACY

A highlight of the Legacy Links journey so far has been the powerful collaboration between the youth team and the Diahroniko Museum of Larissa. Thanks to support from ComMedi, the team secured a special meeting with Museum Director Ms. Vassiliki Sdrolia, laying the groundwork for future cultural synergies.

During this unique visit, Legacy Links volunteers had the chance not only to record oral histories and explore historical artifacts, but also to mentor a group of school children who joined the session. The children, inspired by the project’s mission, participated in an interactive interview activity and expressed their curiosity about local traditions and untold stories.

This peer-to-peer exchange brought the project’s vision to life: connecting generations, opening dialogue, and creating a shared cultural space that belongs to everyone. The young volunteers stepped into leadership roles, guiding the children with empathy, creativity, and respect.

The visit to the Diahroniko Museum marked a major step in the project’s development. As the monthly workshops continue, the team is preparing to launch a community comic book and a digital archive. Through each action, Legacy Links proves that youth can be powerful custodians of heritage—and that storytelling can unite a town across time and identity.
